Tom Cross

Founder & Principal Consultant

Tom has spent over 15 years delivering and assuring healthcare IT programmes across New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the Asia-Pacific region. He has delivered more than 100 healthcare integrations across HL7 v2, FHIR, and API-based patterns, and led or assured eight TrakCare implementations across public and private hospital settings. His platform depth covers InterSystems HealthShare and IRIS, MuleSoft, and the clinical system ecosystems that connect into them — PAS, EMR, lab, radiology, and national services. Clients have included NHS foundation trusts, private hospital groups, and national health IT programmes across both the NZ and UK markets.

JTX IT exists because senior delivery ownership is consistently the missing ingredient in complex healthcare programmes. Most integration failures are not technology failures — they are ownership failures. Tom started the practice to provide the kind of frank, senior-led input that internal teams rarely have capacity for and that large consultancies rarely deliver.
